Habib climbs on the roof of the detention center in Darwin (Northern Australia). He s undergoing his 530th day in captivity. He begins a hunger strike. "We are healthy, fed and treated well physically, but we suffer from mental torture: to be seen with suspicion as potential dangers to the security of Australia; to wait helplessly that some elements of our past - as stateless on the run- arise from nowhere to prove we're not danger. We have no other right than waiting that our identity is decided. "Habib is a Rohingya: a word only whispered in Burma. A forbidden word over there. Their community does not officially exist. There, they are nicknamed the Kalas, the "Black" foreign men who are not considered Burmese because they are "ugly as ogres" (as heard in the words of General Ye Myint Aung, Burmese consul in Hong Kong).Predominantly Muslim, Rohingyas are one of the largest stateless people in the world, the poorest group of people of one of the poorest countries in the world, the only one who suffers in Burma restrictions on marriage and travels outside their villages and restriction for the construction of religious buildings.

Dad isn’t there anymore to treat me, encourage me or bring me paddi’s crabs so that I can eat in secret. My brother Touch, skeletal, blind from the eyes that a Khmer Rouge has torn from him, staggers forward to the hut. in the arms of mumr, the infant swallows with difficulty the opaque liquid that mum, looking pale and remotetries to awkwardly put in her little fragile mouth. The tears that we secretly have discharged after the departure of our father mean our very near death. This is the only certainty that I have of Angkar, the organization of the Khmer Rouge: When the father is taken away by soldiers, days are numbered before they take the rest of the family in the ox cart that no more leads to the fields of hard labor but to the killing fields, those in which they threw the body of my sister. Those fields that lie ahead, waiting for us. My dreams are suddenly interrupted by a burst in the sky that is torn. I look up, panicked. The air suddenly rumbles. the earth roars and trembles violently. My heart hits very fast. Touch collapses, I cling to the bamboo hut. Cries pierce the hubbub surrounding the new village while ringing through the atmosphere darkened with dust and smoke. Mom comes back to life. She jumps, telling me to take care of the baby and disappears while a projectile crashes and burns up the earth. The Khmer Rouge run down roads around us, their faces distorted with fear, some bleeding profusely. In a village where they inspire terror, the show is surreal. SengMai,30 years old, young undocumented Burmese, waiting, sick with fear,at the center near Kota Raya, 3000 Malaysian ringgit(615 euros or less) in hand. After an hour, her phone rings. The appointment is moved by his interlocutors, gangsters that leave nothing to hazards. SengMai follows orders and goes to the edge of a lonely road. 9pm, a car approaches.A man comes out, which requires money. SengMai take a quick worried look on the back seat, five people are crowded, with her sister Lulu, 28, her face marked by fear. SengMai money tends to gangster who suddenly pulls Lulu out of the vehicle. The door slams. With the car disappearing, it's one hell that also flies away. Navy’s story is the story of the journey with no return of a family united on a genocidal path where a little girl find all her own powers in our own secret world: her dreams, her innocence and her father. She will survive death.A true story of resilience, courage and love during one of the most horrific genocides of the 20th century.THE MEETING OF TWO WOMEN AROUND A CHILD, AROUND A BOOKFor several months, both women, Sophie and Navy, find themselves in the intimacy of Navy Soth and spend long afternoons back in time. Over time, with questions arising, memories of Navy awake at the same time as Blackie takes life again, gradually the past becomes more and more vibrant. At each meeting, the two women enter the attic of forgotten memory and, assembling the pieces of a puzzle, discover a whole world, and put back in chroology everything that has allowed Blackie to survive famine and an unimaginable cruelty while her birth was full of promises for a life of tranquility and plentiness. Conversations, between Sophie and Navy, occurs with lots various moments: There are time of silence, and time during which stories are inflamed and outraged. Moments of intensity and exhaustion for both women who go deep in the story of Blackie, back in time to relive her life, to exhaust all the memories of childhood. After several months, once Navy reported all her possible memories, memories of her mother and her surviving brothers adjust the chronology of events and the missing pieces to the puzzle. then Sophie Ansel took a ultimate trip to Cambodia in 2009 in order to weld all the evidence collected and in order to translate the experiences, feelings, emotions of the child that Navy has transmitted to her through a memory awakened raw.Through "the forbidden tears," Blackie finally has a voice to confront Adults and tell them "Never aver again." In 2007 she started writing and making documentaries. Soon she gets passionate: She creates and edit her first project "In the shadow of your smile" in 2007, 42 minutes, shown in many festival in France and in one cinema (Jules Verne, globe trotter, planet color). She goes camera in hand to bring images and convince a production house to follow her TV project: She brings her first film for television with M6, 66 minutes and the producer cameraman Cyrlle Blanc: "Burma from one hell to another "(aka Sophie Delatte). She has been developing several projects on sensitive issues in France. At the same time she worked as a producer and artistic director with Milk Bar production in Australia on a Reel and on a show titles broadcast on Australian television.
